Benefits of the Ron Paul Curriculum

In an educational world where learning often feels disconnected from real-world relevance and homework overwhelms young students, the new, refreshing Ron Paul Curriculum stands out. With pre-recorded lectures, weekly writing assignments, and minimal homework, this curriculum focuses on three things: giving students ample opportunities to learn with video lectures, training practical skills such as writing and reading, and emphasizing the intrinsic value of learning over mere task-completing. This system is 95% self-taught, giving the students freedom to learn on their own terms. I have been studying under the Ron Paul Curriculum for 3 school years now and as a consumer of this product, I’m happy to say that the Ron Paul Curriculum has many benefits and is the future for education because of its flexible and simple structure.

Some benefits of the Ron Paul Curriculum:

  1. The pre-recorded, always-accessible lectures. With this form of lectures it allows students to take their time and learn at their own pace. It also gives the students a chance to go and back and review previous lessons later within the school year.
  2. The homework is minimal but just as important. Almost after every lecture each teacher gives the student a reading assignment that is tied to the information in the lesson which they just watched, solidifying and maintaining the knowledge. At the end of every week the student will either be given a writing assignment or a quiz(depending on the subject). Writing is a crucial skill and activity for not only students, but for adults as well. Not only is it a practical skill, but it is also a great activity to improve one’s mind. The process of writing takes a lot of thinking which improves a students overall intelligence and attention span.
  3. No due dates! This is not a school, this is a curriculum, their are no due dates, grades or personal instruction. This is important because the student now has freedom to schedule their school day however they please and still have time for other activities or passions they are pursuing. On the other hand, the student now has full responsibility for their results because they do not have anyone to grade them.
