Ensuring Employment within the next DEcade

The future is the most unpredictable aspect of life’s journey because one’s past doesn’t define one’s future, but the present does. Currently, the year is twenty twenty three and technological advances have flooded every aspect of the job market, with the creation of artificial intelligence and human-like mechanical models. Citizens are beginning to worry and discuss about job security, and the possible rise in unemployment rates due to “robots” taking jobs. One overlooked fact is that robots will not be able to perform every job, it is impossible, for they are only programmed to perform tasks. Jobs that require human-only aspects such as the passionate, artistic soul, the rationality which people possess in their brains, and creativity cannot be programmed. Artistic careers which require these traits and innate human talent are: dancing, acting, singing, and media arts as well as careers in management, and entrepreneurship. Because of the current state of the present, the future job market is predicted to be outsourced of routine jobs by ai for human citizens. What is the solution to this growing problem?

Performing arts isn’t the answer for everybody, one needs passion, interest, and talent in order to make a living from those careers. The most imaginative and malleable solution for citizens to ensure employment is starting a business which requires human management and creativity. How does starting a business ensure one’s employment? First, a business is born from an idea. An original, fresh idea can only be fabricated by the human mind. artificial intelligence on the other hand can only create “ideas” based off what it has been programed to “interpret”. Second, a business needs to be taken care of, nurtured for, and managed by the person who has come up with the vision. In order for a business to grow it will also require partnering, and deal making which are skills which are rooted in human relationship. A robot will never be able to manage a business, plan a schedule for it or negotiate with other companies for deals, advertisements, etc. Third, entrepreneurship grants the power of decision making. The CEO can either follow the trend and higher robots or artificial intelligence to complete the laboring, routine-like job, or on the other hand, hire human workers providing employment and income. Fourth, if one is to open their company in a physical location with physical products, which will be purchased and consumed by people, this requires customer service and human interaction. It is impossible to replace a good server who makes customers feel warm and welcome in one’s restaurant, a robot could only greet them at the door and seat them. Fifth, by one owning a company and supplying local areas with goods or services, the owner builds a connection, thus a relationship with the consumers who are being served. This connection could be a humorous, and humane interaction which robots could never produce, no matter how intensely artificial intelligence has been designed to have human features.

In the end, an unforeseeable future, manifests chaos and confusion among citizens and the next generation of workers due to the cascading state of technological progress in the year twenty twenty three. The solution to this problem is starting and managing one’s own business. Their are countless reasons on why igniting a company ensures employment for human citizens, it requires creativity, rationality, and interaction, skills that robots could only dream of. I believe robots will never be a major issue to the job market, they will only help out by taking more labor intensive jobs, such as coal mining or oil digging, etc. Despite that fact, citizens of the world can’t be blinded and distracted by television and media as to stay alert for any possible government advances attempting to push robots onto planet earth, the people of the world must stay on their toes and strike back in debate if any such stupendous and naïve move were to be made by the officials of any country.
