The Persian War was a war fought between the two most powerful greek city states and the Persian Empire. The Persian War began with a conflict between Athens and Sparta and Athens seeking defense support from Persia. Post treaty, Greek colonizers in Asia Minor attempt to pull off a revolt on the Persian Empire and Athens supports by sending 30 ships. Persia took this offensively and began an invasion on Greece. The Persian Wars where significant events in Western History because it was the miraculous victory of Athens and Sparta a much more inferior force compared to the greater empire, Persia.
